Overview

C&A Group is actively recruiting multiple CNC Machinists for both Day and Afternoon shifts to join our rapidly expanding and dynamic team of machinist professionals in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Wage: Compensation Rate - Up to $40.00/hr for Day Shift; up to $42.00/hr for Afternoon Shift

Shift Premium: $3/hr – 10 Hour Days x 4 Days Per Week – 3 Day Weekends Every Weekend!

Responsibilities
  • CNC Programming – Gibbs Cam Software and G code knowledge are assets
  • CNC & Manual Machining – Set-Up & Production – Lathes & Mills
  • Working Knowledge of Tool Holders, Cutting Tools, Boring Bars, Fixtures, Inserts, and Other Machine Accessories and Components Including Precision Measuring Instruments
  • Repair Machine Tools and Parts
  • Read and Interpret Engineering Drawings, 3D Models, Charts, and Tables
  • Hand skills to fit and assemble Components and Machine Parts to Close Tolerances
  • Operate machine tools such as lathes, and milling machines to produce metal parts
  • Work with various materials i.e., steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and other materials
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, cutting speed, and feed rate for required operations
  • Plan job operation sequence
  • Able to work accurately, routinely holding ±0.0005” tolerances, and verify accuracy against blueprints and specifications
  • Produce production runs and/or single parts
  • Able to make minor edits to programs to improve efficiency and quality
