Description

The Material Planner is responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring timely material availability to meet production and project needs. This role involves procurement, inventory control, forecasting, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to support business objectives and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and project teams to align material deliveries with forecasts and customer expectations.
  • Participate in NPDI teams to secure materials and vendor contracts.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust buying plans.
  • Negotiate pricing and manage supplier contracts.
  • Analyze supplier performance and maintain scorecards.
  • Forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and oversee work order processes.
  • Coordinate material transfers and ensure ERP system accuracy.
  • Provide reporting on shortages and usage for forecasting.
  • Support continuous improvement in materials management processes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in procurement/materials planning within a project‑based or manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): CSCP or SCMP designation; APICS.
  • Strong knowledge of material planning, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and planning software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Shift

Day Shift (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM). Will need to do overtime as required!

Pay

$40 per hour
