Job summary

Hard Rock Ottawa Hotel & Casino is seeking a part-time Busser to support servers and keep dining areas clean and guest-ready. You will clear and reset tables, replenish service supplies, and assist front-of-house staff in delivering an exceptional dining experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in food service or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up/replenish server stations with polished china, glassware and silverware.
• Set up/replenish server stations with condiments for service.
• Scraping dishes and ensuring proper place settings including napkins and cutlery.
• Utilize trays for pre-bussing and bussing tables with safety in mind.
• Deliver soiled china, glass, and silverware to dish room and dispose of trash as designated.
• Keep work areas clean and report maintenance issues to management.

This position is responsible for clearing and resetting tables, replenishing service supplies, and ensuring restaurant, lounge, or banquet areas remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready at all times. The Busser works closely with the front-of-house team to support efficient service, enhance guest satisfaction, and contribute to a positive dining environment**RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Set- up/ Replenish server stations with polished China, glassware and silverware* Set- up/ Replenish server stations with condiments for service* Scraping dishes* Ensure place settings are appropriate and each guest has a napkin, polished silverware, and any other item this is part of the standard place setting* Utilize trays for pre-bussing & bussing tables; all trays are to be organized with safety in mind* All soiled China, glass and silverware trays are to deliver to dish room; discarding all trash in designated bins* All soiled linen is to be bagged up and removed to designated areas* Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean as you go procedures* Notify management of any maintenance repair issues* Complete any additional reasonable requests by management* Check with supervisor before leaving at end of shift**QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPIERENCE*** Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in food service or customer service preferred.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS*** Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds or more.* The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.**Working Conditions:**Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a highly regulated and controlled environment, but there will be times when you will need to be on the Casino Floor to complete job functions as outlined or pass through this area.
