Job summary

Give & Go Prepared Foods Corp. in Etobicoke, ON, is recruiting a supervisor to coordinate and supervise day-to-day Safety and Quality MDLZ integration projects, ensuring training, handover from Engineering and Corporate Functions into Production ownership, and alignment with production goals.

The role oversees production operations, leads and mentors staff, drives continuous improvement, and ensures Environmental Health & Safety, HACCP, and quality standards are met on site.

Job Overview

Responsible for coordinating and supervising day-to-day Safety and Quality MDLZ integration projects to achieve planned schedules and execute standards, training, and handover from Engineering and Corporate Functions into Production ownership. In addition, when applicable, this role is responsible for coordinating and supervising production operations, through guiding, and assisting employees in the attainment of production and quality goals/standards, developing, and mentoring team members, and driving safety performance results that meet and/or exceed company goal and targets.

Shift: Day (7:00AM - 3:00PM)

Location: Etobicoke, ON.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and Supervise all Safety and Quality integration programs from MDLZ in specific site with the goal executing those programs as per plan and develop the standards, training, and handover properly to Production, Maintenance and Sanitation teams on site
• Perform problem solving/ route cause analysis when problem or errors occur; Scan material in and out of supermarket or warehouse, print required documents and labels
• Communicate and co-ordinate with other supervisors/managers to ensure site goals/ strategies are met
• Define resource requirements, work planning and engage in employee scheduling activities, including tracking hours & identify, develop and implement process improvements
• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate plant staff by providing feedback and conducting formal evaluations & may lead Sanitation, Receiving and Maintenance department staff while on night shift.
• Assisting in hiring and training employees & coordinate and encourage employee involvement in team building
• Initiate and attend meetings as required to ensure continuous improvement activities continue as per plan.
• Supervise personnel in the efficient use of equipment and materials to produce quality products on time in accordance with the production business plan
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed and consistently applied in area of scope & develop and implement activities to ensure Environmental Health & Safety, Quality and legal standards are met.
• Ensure that all products are processed and packed in accordance with Company standards, including HACCP and applicable legislation & manage resources to ensure budget targets are met
• Ensure that there is an engagement with maintenance on any of the activities so that we can ensure the job is completed within a planned time
• Document departmental performance metrics, to include but not limited to: Direct Labor Hours, On-Time Delivery, Training Hours Conducted, errors per employee, employee productivity.
• Be proactive in satisfying customer needs by communicating to sales or other department requests within 24 hours, troubleshooting problem orders, and follow thru from producing order to shipping out the door & delegate work assignments based on the production schedule and customer requirements, and assure that employees are at maximum productivity
• Conduct labor tracking of production orders & demonstrate accountability on operator productivity.
• Responsible for assisting with production problems, ensuring tools and equipment are available
