Gravity is the platform public agencies use to manage budgeting, automate financial reporting, and meet compliance with confidence. From Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR) to Budget Books to GASB disclosures, we give teams the tools to move faster, work smarter, and build public trust.
About the role
We’re looking for a Business Systems Engineer to design and build the systems, integrations, and data infrastructure that power our customer and business operations.
You’ll work across teams — from Marketing and Sales to Customer Success, Services, and Finance — to create seamless workflows, automate processes, and deliver insights that drive growth and efficiency. This is a highly cross‑functional, hands‑on role where technical depth meets business impact.
What you’ll do
- Salesforce Development : Design and implement custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Components, Flows, and other declarative tools within the Salesforce platform using sound data modeling and software design patterns.
- Data Engineering & Analysis : Build and maintain SQL-based data models and pipelines to support analytics, campaign operations, and GTM forecasting.
- Tool Integration : Connect Salesforce with marketing automation, product usage data, and customer support tools (e.g., Salesforce, Hubspot / Customer.io / ActiveCampaign, Posthog / Google Analytics, Pendo / Appcues, etc.) using APIs and ETL workflows.
- Reporting & Insights : Develop dashboards and datasets for GTM teams in Salesforce, Hubspot, and other BI tools. Partner with RevOps, Marketing, and other functions to improve campaign and funnel visibility and with executive leaders to maintain performance reporting.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Communication : Partner with business stakeholders across GTM, Product, and Operations to gather requirements, propose innovative solutions, and translate technical concepts into accessible language for non‑technical audiences to generate alignment and buy‑in.
- Enablement & Documentation : Collaborate with internal enablement teams and leadership to document workflows and train users on new tools or processes.
What you’ll bring
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (required)
- 3+ years of experience working in a technical RevOps, MarketingOps, or GTM engineering role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., Clickkhouse, Postgres, Snowflake)
- Strong experience analyzing and transforming data to support business insights
- Working knowledge of Python / Nodejs / Java / Go for automation, data parsing, or API interactions
- Experience integrating third‑party systems via REST APIs and webhooks
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally with both technical and non‑technical teams
About you
- You love solving tough problems and building smart, scalable solutions.
- You work well across teams and can make technical ideas simple for anyone to understand.
- You’re hands‑on with Salesforce, SQL, and integrations — and always curious to learn more.
- You take ownership, move fast, and focus on delivering real impact.
