The Senior Business Systems Analyst leads the analysis of business challenges and translates them into actionable requirements, application specifications, and design contributions. This role champions the development and implementation of analysis standards, tools, processes, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, scoping, estimation, and planning of large or complex initiatives.
- Elicit and validate business requirements impacting multiple products using diverse methods, techniques, and tools.
- Facilitate meetings, walkthroughs, workshops, and reviews to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Develop and deliver training and support materials for affected stakeholders.
- Ensure solutions and configurations align with business requirements and enterprise policies, including architecture, security, and risk management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues by analyzing alternative solutions and developing innovative approaches.
- Communicate technical complexities to senior business stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Lead configuration, prototyping, and data modeling activities for complex projects or products.
- Develop and validate solution designs, product configurations, and package criteria with business stakeholders.
- Partner with QA teams to align test strategies and plans with business requirements, optimizing testing efficiency.
- Act as a trusted advisor within the business unit, fostering collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Provide leadership and guidance to less senior professionals, serving as a recognized technical expert in the department.
- Mentor and train cross-discipline practitioners and business / third-party representatives in analysis strategies, methods, tools, and approaches.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in an IT environment (Data Analytics and BI experience is an asset).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML) .
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Report development using both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Report Builder .
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build consensus among stakeholders through effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for executive audiences.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on business outcomes, risk management, and scope adjustments to maximize value delivery.
- Experience working with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint .
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment , coordinating efforts across different geographies and functions.
