Key Responsibilities
- As a Business Systems Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing and documenting a comprehensive statement of requirements for the recommended alternative identified in the preliminary analysis report.
- Conducting business analysis of functional requirements to identify key information, procedures, and decision-making flows.
- Evaluating existing processes and methods, identifying and documenting critical components such as database content, structure, and application subsystems, and developing a detailed data dictionary.
- Defining and documenting interface requirements between manual and automated operations within application subsystems, external systems, and integrations between new and existing systems.
- Identifying business processes suitable for redesign, prototyping potential solutions, analyzing trade-offs, and providing recommendations for optimization, including modifications to automated processes.
- Supporting and adhering to departmental methodologies to ensure consistency and efficiency in all processes.
Experience Levels Considered
- Level 1: Less than 5 years of experience
- Level 2: 5 to less than 10 years of experience
- Level 3: 10 or more years of experience
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Business Systems Analyst Experience: Minimum of 3+ years (Must-have)
- Technical Skills: SQL – Strong proficiency in querying and database management
- Technical Skills: BPWin – Experience with business process modeling
- Technical Skills: Oracle CASE – Familiarity with CASE tools for software development
- Rational Rose – Knowledge of UML modeling and system design
- RUP (Rational Unified Process) – Understanding of structured software development methodologies
