The Opportunity

We’re seeking a Business System Analyst to join our Banking & Financial Services Consulting practice in Toronto. The Sr. Analyst role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives within the finance and accounting domain. With a focus on portfolio management and business analysis, the candidate will leverage their expertise in Aladdin to optimize processes and enhance decision‑making. This hybrid role requires strong analytical skills and effective communication in English to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Lead the analysis and management of financial portfolios to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee business analysis activities to identify opportunities for process improvements and strategic growth.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision‑making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement business strategies and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Utilize Aladdin platform to streamline portfolio management and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to support financial planning and forecasting activities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards to mitigate risks.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
  • Analyze market trends and financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial models and tools.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather insights and drive consensus among stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress and inform strategic decisions.
What You Must Have to Be Considered:
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with the Aladdin platform, including 1–2 full‑cycle implementations.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, and investment/portfolio management domains.
  • Hands‑on experience in one of the investment management systems like Aladdin BlackRock, SimCorp etc.
  • Strong proficiency in business systems analysis, including agile ceremonies, requirements gathering, gap analysis, and system integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between business and technology teams.
  • Advanced data analysis and financial reporting skills, with a focus on portfolio performance.
  • Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with vendor evaluation and procurement processes.
  • Exposure to automation tools and platform transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Canadian banking regulations.
  • Prior consulting experience in the Banking & Financial Services (BFS) domain.
