Job summary

Tek Ninjas in Toronto, ON is seeking a Data Engineer to support a growing portfolio of interactive dashboards across multiple product teams. The role is 3 days per week hybrid in Toronto and lasts 6–12 months.

You will collaborate with project teams, business stakeholders, and data insights to build datasets and sophisticated dashboards, while gaining deep knowledge of data domains across applications.

Qualifications

• Expert in SQL, Hadoop, Big Data, Hive.
• Strong experience in Azure Data Services analysis, BI Analysis.
• Ability to analyse the construction of existing reports and reverse engineer table relationships.
• Strong knowledge of the Retail Domain and experience with data warehouse projects, including data extraction, cleansing, aggregation, validation, transformation, and loading.
• Hands on exp with the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, Sqoop and YARN.
