Business General Manager

Evorden is seeking a highly experienced, strategic, and dynamic General Manager to run the day‑to‑day operations of our growing boutique fine jewellery company. This leadership‑first role reports only to the two owners, who focus on big‑picture strategy while you drive operational success. You will work alongside the Creative Director and Marketing Coordinator, shaping our operational strategy, culture, and long‑term growth. The role demands strong leadership, decisiveness, and the ability to inspire, manage, and develop a high‑performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategic Oversight: Serve as the head of operations, accountable for all daily activities; lead, mentor, and manage staff across showroom, production, and administrative teams; make operational decisions that ensure efficiency, excellence, and alignment with Evorden’s brand and values; drive company culture, fostering a supportive, professional, and collaborative workplace; lead team meetings, daily huddles, and regular one‑on‑one check‑ins; collaborate with the Creative Director and Marketing Coordinator; report directly to the owners on performance, progress, and key decisions.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all operational processes across two offices and the showroom; develop and maintain monthly and yearly company calendars; assign daily appointments and manage schedules; ensure all administrative, HR, and office management functions run smoothly, including payroll coordination, licensing, vendor management, and office upkeep.
  • HR & Team Development: Own all HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, employee development, and benefits management; establish and maintain team routines that support engagement, communication, and accountability; organize training days, seasonal events, and professional development initiatives.
  • Client & Brand Experience: Maintain the highest standards of client service across all interactions; ensure showroom, offices, and workflows reflect Evorden’s luxury, ethical, and personalized brand; support the team in managing client inquiries, escalations, and bespoke orders.
  • Strategic Business Support: Collaborate with the leadership team on business strategy and operational execution; provide operational insights, KPI tracking, and recommendations for improving efficiency, profitability, and client experience; act as the central point of contact for operational decision‑making, implementing initiatives that align with company goals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior operational or leadership role (5+ years preferred), ideally in luxury retail, boutique operations, or service‑oriented businesses.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make independent decisions and manage complex workflows.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities across multiple locations.
  • Experience with HR management, payroll, administrative oversight, and team development.
  • Comfort with technology and tools such as Google Suite, POS/CRM systems, and scheduling software.
  • Passion for fine jewellery, craftsmanship, and providing exceptional client experiences.
