Position Description:
Be a key contributor to a multi-year implementation initiative that aims to simplify the client applications landscape, streamline operations, and improve financial reporting.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
- Take ownership of requirements translation into user stories and of functional/technical specifications.
- Lead testing lifecycle (Regression, Integrated, and UAT testing) while ensuring proper documentation.
- Perform impact analysis and suggest adjustments to business operations and system procedures.
- Participate in deliveries and support users during deployment.
- Support maintenance, incident resolution, and problem-solving for existing Public Markets Solutions, including night support.
- Own complex problem-analysis assignments, recommend enhancements, and facilitate their implementation.
Profile and expertise:
- Proficiency and experience as a business/functional analyst.
- Experience in the financial investment industry and/or private market investment.
- Expertise in financial instruments and their lifecycles.
- Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Ability to produce and maintain documentation (system specifications, use cases, test scenarios, reports, presentations).
- Advanced communication skills in French and English.
- Experience with Back-office and accounting processes in an investment context is an asset.
- Knowledge of process modeling methodologies is an asset.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the financial investment industry, especially in public markets.
- Knowledge of public markets trades/instrument lifecycle (Swaps, TRS, CDS, Fixed Income, etc.) and experience with Back-office and accounting processes.
- Financial certifications (CFA, FRM, etc.) are a plus.
- Proficiency with SQL tools for data analysis and mining.
- Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, Bloomberg, Snowflake is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Excellent bilingual communication skills (French and English).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with autonomy.
- Attention to detail and rigorous analysis/documentation skills.
- Respect for diverse opinions and active listening skills.
Education:
- Bachelor in Business, Information Technologies, or equivalent.
- Professional designations (CFA, CBAP/CCBA, FRM, PRM, CAIA) are assets.
Professional background:
- 5+ years of experience in business and system analysis within financial investment applications.
Bilingualism in French and English is required due to client interactions.
