Our client, a leading provider of virtual collaboration solutions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies, is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support and accelerate sales efforts. Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on target organizations, competitors, and market trends to support sales strategy and client engagement
- Prepare tailored slide decks and demo environments in collaboration with Marketing and Sales teams
- Participate in sales calls and demos, capturing key details and assisting with real-time support
- Draft, edit, and personalize client proposals based on specific needs and objectives
- Manage follow-up activities post-demo, including emails, content sharing, and CRM updates (HubSpot)
- Plan and execute outbound lead generation campaigns across channels (email, LinkedIn, cold calls)
- Develop compelling outreach messages tailored to various roles and company types within the life sciences sector
- Book qualified product demos for Business Development Directors and maintain a steady pipeline
- Build and nurture relationships with prospects by demonstrating empathy, insight, and professionalism
- Leverage tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI platforms, and CRM systems to optimize lead generation and outreach
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align strategies, share insights, and improve campaign performance
- Assist with webinar planning and promotion, and represent the company at virtual or in-person industry events
- Consistently meet or exceed activity and performance targets related to outreach, demo bookings, and pipeline development
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience (or relevant internship) in the life sciences industry is preferred
- Strong interest in B2B tech sales, particularly in lead generation and demo booking
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence and a relationship-building mindset
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, G Suite, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Bi-lingual in English and French is an asset
