About Our Client:

Our client is a European, fast-growing, and financially solid manufacturer of premium HVAC products. Their innovative heating and cooling solutions are trusted by dealers worldwide. As part of their continued growth in North America, they are adding a Business Development Representative to acquire and manage customers in Ontario.

Please note: the Business Development Representative can be based anywhere in Ontario, offering the flexibility of a home office (the position is fully remote) while enjoying the dynamic nature of frequent travel across the province to engage with clients and grow key relationships.

Travel: Must be able to travel up to 4 days per week (day and overnight trips) within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities:
  • New Business Development: Identify, target, and acquire new business opportunities with dealers across the assigned territory.
  • Customer Retention & Growth: Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients by understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a business development strategy aimed at increasing market share, achieving sales targets, and maximizing revenue growth.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively generate and qualify leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the North American and European sales teams to coordinate efforts, share insights, and drive collective success.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals, pricing, and product solutions to prospective clients, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Client Education: Provide clients with detailed information on new products, product updates, and best practices.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Record all sales activity in CRM. Track sales performance, prepare reports, and present insights to the leadership team, using data to inform strategy and decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of B2B experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors. Previous experience selling to dealers and retailers is an asset.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Proactive Approach: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative in developing new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: A team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
