At Speedee Transport, a division of Canada Cartage, we are experts in Cold-Chain, Temperature-Controlled, Ambient LTL, FTL, & Dedicated service transportation. Critical to the national supply chain, we specialize in food products, medical supplies & PPE, providing national truck and intermodal services to all major centers.

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Sales professional.

Position Overview

Based in British Columbia with remote work options, the Business Development Professional will develop new commercial relationships to achieve revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record exceeding quotas, a strong understanding of consultative and strategic selling, and experience in a non-asset-based sales environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Identify and secure upsell and cross-sell opportunities with prospects and current customers for all Speedee fleet solutions.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships and a network of prospects.
  3. Collaborate internally with Operations, Pricing, Solutions, Legal, and Business Implementation teams to ensure accuracy and prioritize tasks.
  4. Use customer feedback to improve account management and execute action plans.
  5. Conduct business reviews and communicate KPI reports to clients.
  6. Proactively respond to customer needs and identify opportunities for long-term relationships.
  7. Analyze costing models, maintain gross margins, and implement contractual price adjustments.
  8. Introduce customers to Speedee technology, policies, and cost-saving recommendations.
  9. Understand customers' supply chains, strategies, and goals.
  10. Develop account plans for continuous improvement and growth.
  11. Drive revenue and sales for assigned portfolio and new customers.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 2 years’ business development experience in high-volume sales within market-leading organizations.
  2. Experience selling transportation solutions to senior decision-makers (non-asset-based).
  3. Results-oriented with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  4. Effective communicator at all organizational levels.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, organized, and self-motivated.
  6. Background in FTL & LTL freight programs, cold chain experience is an asset.
