Our client, a leading provider of premium financing solutions in the insurance industry, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their growing Canadian team. About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for acquiring new business opportunities and managing existing relationships within the Montreal region. This is a remote role, but candidates must be based in the Greater Montreal area and available for in-person client meetings and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
Develop new business through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, and industry events.
Build and maintain relationships with insurance brokerages and agencies in the territory.
Conduct needs analyses to identify opportunities for growth and provide tailored solutions.
Communicate product and technology offerings to clients and drive adoption.
Partner with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and account servicing.
Consistently meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to overall business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
2–10 years of outside sales experience, ideally within financial services, insurance, or a related industry.
Strong communication, presentation, and closing skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Proven ability to build relationships and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce an asset).
Fluency in French and English (written and verbal) is required.
