Job summary

CI Financial is seeking a Business Development Manager in Vancouver to drive sales and asset retention for CI GAM investment products. You will educate and motivate advisers, develop campaigns, and support DVPs remotely while occasionally traveling to clients within the territory.

You will report to Vancouver and collaborate with team members, leveraging your finance background and MS Office skills to grow CI GAM market share and build high-quality leads.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years financial services industry experience in a sales capacity.
• University degree.
• Securities, mutual fund products, and investment industry.
• Advanced expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in managing relationships with clients.
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Resourcefulness and creative problem solving skills to provide effective solutions for clients.
• May require attending marketing functions and activities which extend beyond normal office hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote CI GAM product offerings to existing and potential clients
• Generating referrals for your respective DVPs
• Perform account management and customer service duties for established clients
• Respond to inquiries on products, fund management strategies, portfolio manager philosophies/processes/styles and industry trends
• Develop sales campaigns and materials and assist in delivery of sales presentations
• Assist in responding to due diligence questionnaires
• Perform (monthly, quarterly, etc.) territorial sales and asset reporting in collaboration with DVPs
• Collect client and competitor information from Internet and other sources
• Work closely with and support efforts of other team members
• Assist in administrative functions as required
