This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to serve as a Business Development Manager with a leading company in the Freight Forwarding industry.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled salesperson who can leverage the organization's extensive operational capacity to maximize sales potential. You will be empowered to promote a comprehensive range of services, including air, ocean, transborder, customs brokerage, warehousing, contract logistics, ground, special projects, customs consulting, both internationally and domestically, import and export. No opportunity is too large or complex for this world-class organization.

In summary, the successful candidate will be an expert in selling Freight Forwarding services, a natural hunter, and a skilled closer.

Position Description

As Business Development Manager, your focus will be on identifying and securing cargo business, with an emphasis on air export. This role requires a dedicated hunter mentality, consistently exceeding sales targets and setting new records.

  • Identify and secure export/import cargo, primarily air freight, but also sea and road freight
  • Serve as a subject matter expert
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and their representatives
  • Utilize CRM tools
  • Prepare and provide rate quotations to customers

Experience

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Freight Forwarding sales professional capable of successfully selling various services, either individually or as part of integrated logistical solutions. You should have a proven track record of closing deals with a range of clients, from small to large, and be comfortable engaging with decision-makers at all levels, including C-suite executives.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in air and ocean freight sales within a freight forwarding environment
  • Knowledge of the logistics marketplace
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills to understand customer needs

Education

Post-secondary education in Logistics or Business is preferred.
