About the job

As Business Development Manager you will be accountable for the following mission :

Danone Canada is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager AFH Ontario (Away From Home) to lead our foodservice growth across Ontario. This pivotal role will focus on building and nurturing high-impact relationships with major distributors – while providing expert support to contract feeders and driving category growth in the region.

Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead Distributor Partnerships: Serve as the primary point of contract for Ontario Foodservice Distributors, developing joint business plans, executing strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with Danone’s national objectives.
  • Support Contract Feeders: Collaborate closely with contract feeders lead to optimize product listings, manage order guides, and deliver tailored solutions that drive mutual growth.
  • Drive Regional Sales & Growth: Own volume and net sales targets for the AFH business in Ontario, leveraging data-driven insights and market trends to identify new opportunities and maximize performance.
  • Customer Acquisition & Sales Growth: Responsible for selling and increasing sales through acquiring new customers, as well as meeting with existing customers to provide support, training, and education to help drive sales growth.
  • Brand Training & New Listings: Deliver brand training to customers and secure new product listings to expand Danone presence in the market.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work together with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance) to deliver seamless execution, resolve challenges, and support top‑line growth initiatives.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and customers’ needs to inform business planning and maintain Danone’s leadership position on the foodservice channel.
  • Customer Engagement: Represent Danone at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events, championing our brands and building lasting partnerships at all organizational levels.
