Job Purpose:
Sanmina Corporation is looking for a dynamic person to join our Sales team. The Business Development Manager will be fundamental in growing new business for Sanmina Corporation globally with customers located in the Canadian region. The BDM will lead opportunities from origination to post sales-close support. This person must have the ability to establish a sales business plan, execute on that plan and meet the goals set for their region. The person in this role will be accountable for increasing sales with new customers and identifying and pursuing potential Sanmina vertical integration opportunities with customers. This person must have the ability to work seamlessly across multiple groups within Sanmina and work independently to drive new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy account strategies in conjunction with Management in order to achieve objectives set for the business.
  • Responsible for aggressively attacking EMS and component business aligned with Sanmina’s strategy and value differentiators to ensure market share growth and prime strategic positioning for future business.
  • Accountable for meeting and exceeding sales revenues targets set by management.
  • Communicate issues and problems back into the company to drive and assist with resolution.
  • Identify, qualify and close new business in line with set quotas and engage appropriate resources from cross-functional teams to ensure successful business execution.
  • Regularly update sales data system with customer data, new opportunity logs and call plans.
  • Additional responsibilities will be to own and manage related RFQs and act as prime in ensuring timely responses and collaborate with Management to ensure winning solutions.
Education/Experience Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a direct customer sales role supporting large OEMs
  • Bachelor's degree, engineering or business degree is preferred
  • Direct experience in the EMS industry or electronics industry is required
  • Familiar with the Canadian electronics market, customers and opportunities
  • Prior supply chain experience preferred
  • Well rounded experience in high-tech applications; communications, industrial, medical, military, alternate energy market segments
  • Highly motivated with entrepreneurial attitude and outlook, strong work ethics with high level of integrity
  • Demonstrable success in developing and winning new accounts.
  • Excellent MS Office skills, Google cloud based tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and closing skills
  • Experience working with vast remote cross-functional teams in large matrix organizations
  • Overnight travel as required
  • Ability to work in Canada. Location in Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal preferred
