Are you a visionary business development leader with a passion for driving demand generation, fostering strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing team? Riva International is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing organization.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this role will be instrumental in optimizing existing growth initiatives while conceiving, building, and launching new avenues for expansion. You’ll lead account-based marketing strategies, manage key influencer and ecosystem relationships—including system integrators and Salesforce—and play a pivotal role in generating high-quality leads, converting opportunities into closed business, and contributing directly to Riva’s continued success and global growth.

A core part of this role will focus on team leadership and development—building out and managing a team of three BDRs to start, with plans to scale. This is a player‑coach position where you’ll design and implement scalable sales processes and cadences, foster collaboration across teams, and drive accountability and motivation within your group. You’ll be hands‑on in building pipeline strategy and territory plans while providing the guidance, coaching, and structure needed to help your team consistently exceed goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account‑based marketing strategies to generate high‑quality leads and drive sustained demand.
  • Build and nurture strategic partnerships with key influencers—including system integrators and Salesforce—to strengthen Riva’s network and market presence.
  • Identify and engage potential partners, coordinate joint marketing initiatives, and collaborate on co‑selling opportunities.
  • Oversee top‑of‑funnel activities to generate sales‑accepted opportunities and ensure smooth alignment with the sales team.
  • Track and analyze pipeline progression, providing visibility into performance and continuously optimizing conversion rates and ROI.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop your team of BDRs, ensuring alignment, motivation, and growth across all functions.

Your success will be measured by defined KPIs related to lead generation, conversion, and closed business—supported by your ability to drive strategy, structure, and strong team performance.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4–6 years of experience in business development, demand generation, and/or account‑based marketing.
  • Strong understanding of the technology industry, with experience working alongside system integrators and platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Proven ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and marketing automation tools.
  • Interest or experience in the responsible adoption of AI technologies—leveraging innovation to enhance go‑to‑market strategies while ensuring ethical and sustainable use.
