Business Development Manager

Construction Sales

Commercial Construction

Edmonton, AB

Compensation: $100,000 base in the first year, 100% commission in year 2 and beyond

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Business Development, you will be responsible for selling construction services across Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving business growth by proactively identifying new opportunities and closing deals
  • Fostering long-term client relationships
  • Developing and delivering presentations to clients and prospects
  • Implementing innovative business development strategies to promote company growth
  • Preparing and executing targeted business development plans for specific markets

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of sales/business development experience or technical experience (e.g., Project Manager, Estimator) in the Commercial Construction industry
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in Commercial/Industrial or Design/Build construction is preferred, but strong sales skills and a robust network in Commercial Construction are also valued
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to leverage networks and create new opportunities
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships for ongoing business growth
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and professional representation of the company

Compensation Details:

Typically over $200K after the second year, averaging around $350K annually over ten years.
