About ChillSkyn
At ChillSkyn, we’re tackling one of the planet’s biggest and most overlooked energy challenges: cooling.
Our patented passive-cooling coating, PolyFrost, reduces surface temperatures by reflecting heat and infrared radiation, cutting fuel use, lowering emissions, and improving the resilience of temperature-sensitive assets. From fleet trailers and cold chain infrastructure to industrial infrastructure and energy installations, our coating helps operators cut operating costs, protect assets, and meet decarbonization goals.
We’re a hardtech company built by scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs. If you’ve been looking for role where real-world impact meets cutting-edge materials science, this is it!
The Opportunity
We’re scaling quickly and looking for a Business Development Lead to drive growth across multiple verticals — including transportation, cold storage, built infrastructure and energy systems.
This isn’t your average sales role: you’ll operate at the intersection of applied science, field engineering, and market development. You’ll own and shape how ChillSkyn shows up in the market: identifying early adopters, proving ROI, closing strategic deals, and scaling deployments.
You’ll collaborate closely with scientists, engineers, and operations teams to bring this breakthrough to market — and you’ll help define how we commercialize one of the most promising passive cooling technologies in the world.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead business development efforts across target verticals, including transportation fleets, cold chain infrastructure, and energy installations.
- Identify and engage early adopters, from OEMs to asset managers to sustainability teams, and design high-impact pilot projects that validate our value proposition.
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, qualification, education, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
- Develop ROI-driven business cases using operational data and performance metrics from field deployments.
- Build compelling proposals, presentations, and commercial tools that support customer decisions.
- Represent ChillSkyn at key industry events, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate with technical and operations teams to ensure successful execution and validation of customer projects.
- Be the voice of the market internally, surfacing insights, challenges, and opportunities to inform go-to-market and product strategy.
- Use CRM and sales tools (e.g., HubSpot) to track pipeline, performance, and engagement across verticals.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, partnerships, or technical commercialization, ideally in sectors like fleet transportation, logistics, coatings, industrial materials, or energy.
- A background in science or engineering (academic or professional) is a strong asset, you'll be selling a technical product to a practical, results-oriented audience.
- You act with urgency and have a natural bias for action: you're proactive, communicate in real time, and prioritize progress over perfection to move deals forward quickly.
- You’re a strong communicator and storyteller, able to translate technical value into compelling business outcomes
- You build trust through humility, transparency, and a willingness to learn and iterate.
- You thrive in early-market ambiguity, showing initiative and customer obsession as you co-create solutions, validate hypotheses, and stay close to evolving industry needs.
- You work best in collaborative environments, where sharing credit, surfacing diverse perspectives, and addressing challenges constructively are second nature.
- You’re CRM-savvy (HubSpot preferred) and constantly looking to improve your sales tools and processes.
- You’re excited to travel across North America, build relationships on the ground, and help shape how a climate tech innovation scales in the real world.
