A major engineering firm in Montreal is seeking a Canadian Operations Coordinator to support their Power Grids Business Unit. The ideal candidate should have a degree in marketing, strong communication skills, and organizational ability. Responsibilities include managing communications with clients, coordinating conferences, organizing meetings, and handling financial transactions. This role emphasizes attention to detail and requires proficiency in English, with French being a plus.
The candidate for this position will be seconded to the “Comité des Grands Réseaux Éléctriques” also known as “CIGRÉ”. Within that organization, they will assume a role of Canadian Operations Coordinator.
CIGRE is an organization on the cutting‑edge of electric power systems. Since 1921, they have been a driving force in the advancement of knowledge and technological innovation in the field of electric power systems. CIGRE brings together all the key players in the electric power systems sector: business leaders, system operators, manufacturers, engineers, policy makers, regulators, academics, and many others.
Today, their network extends to 90 countries worldwide. This means that they benefit from the experience and expertise that springs from the research and practice in each of these different countries. And, in turn, they bring this wealth of information back to members, such as AtkinsRéalis, through working groups, conferences, technical papers and reports.
CIGRE Canada represents its Canadian members, supporting their active participation as they offer their expertise towards development of global technological advancements in electrical power systems. CIGRE Canada are looking for an Canadian Operations Coordinator that can support its National Executive and active membership.
*This position requires proficiency in a language other than French, namely English, as you will be part of a Canadian, global, or regional leadership team and will need to collaborate with colleagues located outside of Quebec.
