A public sector consulting firm is seeking a Business Consultant to support the modernization of motor-vehicle registries in Alberta. The successful candidate will facilitate requirements gathering, conduct gap analysis, and provide documentation. This remote role requires occasional in-person meetings in Edmonton, with travel expenses covered. Ideal candidates have experience with agile practices and strong analytical skills.
The Registries Modernization team is taking an agile approach to implementing modernized, innovative, human‑centric, and sustainable solutions for delivering registry services to Albertans. For the Motor Vehicles registry this involves a complete replacement of legacy applications with an established codebase that will support the new system. We are looking for a process‑oriented Business Consultant who can gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive operational efficiency.
Remote role with possible in‑person meetings in Edmonton up to four times a year. Standard work hours are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time, Monday through Friday (excluding provincial holidays). Travel expenses to/from Edmonton and within Alberta are covered by the Province.
Standard criminal background check required prior to commencement of services.
All contingent resources must complete mandatory training covering Freedom of Information, Privacy Act, and security awareness upon contracting.
Resources must provide their own computer running a modern version of Windows or macOS compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). AVD/remote‑access software will be installed on the resource’s computer.
