Business Analyst / Technical Lead

On behalf of our Education client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst / Technical Lead for a 9-month role. This position is 100% remote with collaboration aligned to the client’s time zone from Saskatchewan.

Job Description

The project involves the implementation of a new Student Information System (SIS) to replace the existing One Client Service Model (OCSM) system. The Business Analyst / Technical Lead will support the planning and implementation process, ensuring the new system meets the immediate business needs and future enhancement requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the client in various meetings, including Project Team Meetings and Steering Committee Meetings.
  • Elicit, analyze, and manage business needs and ensure requirements traceability.
  • Capture current and future state business processes and work with vendors and colleges on Transition to Operations.
  • Create and manage Test Plans, including Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Build and enhance Power BI reports and develop skill sets within colleges for report maintenance.
  • Work with vendors on data migration and liaise with IT departments.
  • Establish communication pathways with colleges and advocate for solutions.
  • Define technical requirements and facilitate collective definitions of base reports and business rules.
Mandatory Skills
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business analysis and technical leadership.
  • Strong understanding of business systems, particularly in the education sector.
  • Experience with Power BI report building and enhancement.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Test Plans.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely.
  • Experience with data migration and analysis.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Knowledge of the Saskatchewan post-secondary sector.
  • Professional certifications such as ProSci or IIBA.
  • Experience with SaaS model implementations.
  • Familiarity with the Thesis Elements product.
  • Experience in a collaborative project environment.

This is a contract position expected to last from December 3, 2025, to September 3, 2026.
