The Business Analyst is responsible for configuring internal software solutions and analyzing and resolving common client issues post-implementation. They will receive guidance from implementation managers but must be able to prioritize and resolve problems independently or as part of a team.

At TELUS Health, this role offers the opportunity to gain expertise in pension calculations and plan administration across Canadian and American markets. Through multiple implementation projects for new clients across North America, the successful candidate will develop a versatile skill set in pension plan administration, even compared to experienced professionals in the field.

Success in this role requires effective problem management, clear communication of issues and solutions, and strong skills in technology, communication, and problem-solving.

What you'll do:
  1. Perform detailed analysis of clients' pension plan calculation rules.
  2. Serve as the link between the client and project team regarding pension plan calculations.
  3. Configure Ariel software to match the specifics of each client's pension plan.
  4. Write specifications based on client requests and needs for new Ariel software developments.
  5. Ensure proper integration of Ariel software with other client systems.
  6. Participate in developing testing strategies for Ariel software configurations and new features.
  7. Review test scenarios based on plan criteria.
  8. Support the quality assurance team during testing phases.
  9. Contribute suggestions for software improvements to the development team.
What you bring:
  • University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or finance.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with pension plan calculations.
  • Proficiency with current computer technologies and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and flexible multi-project management skills.
  • Good initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and the US.
  • Fluency in both French and English.
