Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to join the Mariner Innovations team full-time in Atlantic Canada. You will work with delivery and sales to deliver top-tier solutions for clients, defining requirements, documenting processes, and supporting system changes across projects.

You will collaborate with business and technical experts to map current and future states, prepare BRDs, and ensure traceability from requirements through to testing and deployment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive corporate IT Business Analyst/Functional Analyst experience.
• CBAP certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis and process mapping.
• Experience in SDLC environments with design docs, use cases and traceability.
• Strong consensus-building among stakeholders.
• Excellent communication with business and technical experts.
• Experience in client-based consulting; data management, analytics, GIS, ERP, CRM desirable.
• Public sector/government experience preferred.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform is an asset.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Business Analyst to join our Mariner Innovations team full-time to help in our planned growth, and contract opportunities for our clients in Atlantic Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for client-based projects and, in collaboration with our delivery and sales teams, you will deliver best of breed solutions to new and existing customers.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

• Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

• Post-secondary education in business, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 5+ years of progressive corporate experience functioning as an IT Business Analyst/Functional Analyst.
• CBAP certification or willing to obtain.
• Demonstrated success with business requirements analysis, group facilitation, gap analysis and process mapping and design as part of a business transformation.
• Experience in working in a formal systems development lifecycle methodology environment involving such artifacts as functional and detail design documents, business use cases, and requirements traceability.
• Demonstrated skill in building consensus among process stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience in working with business experts at all levels and technical subject matter experts.
• Experience working in client-based consulting role is highly desirable Specific reference-able project experience in one or more of the following areas highly desirable: data management, analytics, asset management, GIS, data center, AMI, ERP, CRM.
• Experience in Public sector/Government is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform is considered an asset.
