A Canadian pension and disability benefits organization is seeking a Business Analyst to coordinate projects, provide data analysis, and support business decision-making. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and five or more years of experience in a relevant role, along with strong skills in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau. Established to support Canadian forestry workers and their families, the IWA–Forest Industry Pension and LTD Plans provide members pension and disability benefits and rehabilitation services. The plans are jointly trusted by union and industry appointees.
With over $5 billion in assets, 400 participating employers and 65,000 members, the IWA–Forest Industry Pension Plan is one of Canada’s top 100 pension funds and is one of the top three private pension funds in BC. The IWA–Forest Industry LTD Plan was created almost a decade after the pension plan and now serves over 7,500 members across western Canada.

The Business Analyst (BA) is a systems generalist, with a strong working knowledge of business processes and systems. The BA will understand the business functions and processes from end to end; including the system, data generated and used, and the interaction with other systems and processes. The BA is an intermediary between the business and the various support teams, leading, collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into documentation and designs from which solutions are delivered.
The BA actively explores ways to improve business efficiency and provides data analysis to support business planning and decisions. Demonstrates an eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies and keep up to date with existing ones.
