WHO YOU ARE

The Business Analyst (BA) is a systems generalist, with a strong working knowledge of business processes and systems. The BA will understand the business functions and processes from end to end; including the system, data generated and used, and the interaction with other systems and processes. The BA is an intermediary between the business and the various support teams, leading, collecting, clarifying, and translating business requirements into documentation and designs from which solutions are delivered.

The BA actively explores ways to improve business efficiency and provides data analysis to support business planning and decisions. Demonstrates an eagerness to learn new concepts and technologies and keep up to date with existing ones.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Project coordination which includes develop and maintain project plans, documentation and timelines; communicate project status and direct and coordinate external and internal resources to ensure project completion
  • Data analysis & reporting which includes write rational database queries and transform data into informational reports to recommend and support business completion
  • Requirement gathering which includes engage with various business units to capture information needs, compare with current state and identify gaps; recommend changes, updated and creation of policies and procedures as needed; and write business requirements and document process flows
  • Design & development of such things as architect tables, dashboards, reports, drill-down analytics and data visualization; create system technical requirements for documentation and knowledge management
  • Testing, validation and release management which includes develop and implement test strategies; validate data accuracy and deploy and validate changes in production environment
  • Training, support and change management which includes supporting the development of training, documentation and help desk capabilities and delivering the training when required.
  • Coordinating annual compliance production runs
YOU HAVE/ARE
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred in information systems, buisness management, computer schience, or related discipline plus five or more years of experience in a Business Analyst role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience working with relational databases (Oracle Database) and an application framework (Oracle Forms & Reports)
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL with the ability to write complex queries, Python, MS PowerBI, MS PowerQuery, and MS PowerAutomate
  • Ability to deep dive into data to provide meaningful analysis and insights, creating visualizations using MS Power BI, Tableau or similar tool
  • Familiar with industry frameworks such as Agile, ITIL, and NIST.
  • Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem solving.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills together with a customer service focus in a professional and respectful approach towards all levels of the organization.
  • Must be discreet, tactful, and able to maintain information in a highly confidential manner.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and effectively deal with changing situations or priorities.
