Company Introduction

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 36 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 13 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

The role:

Reporting into the Chief of Staff, this role is responsible for supporting the CEO Office in its business management and strategic initiatives. This position will play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing information to inform strategic decision making, improve operation efficiency, and drive business growth. By supporting the operations and activities undertaken by the CEO office, this role will ensure the effective delivery of overall business goals.

The Business Analyst is a highly analytical problem-solver with advanced communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Possessing a strong sense of ownership, the Business Analyst is comfortable multi-tasking, working in ambiguity, and under tight deadlines to drive initiatives forward.

Major Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
CEO Office Management
  • Manage weekly and monthly team meetings, including the development of agenda and materials in conjunction with business leaders
  • Support annual corporate activities such as annual strategic planning and offsite
  • Support the Chief of Staff in creating critical communications and correspondence
Executive and Board Communications
  • Prepare materials and presentations to senior leadership including the CEO and Board of Directors of T&T Supermarket and Loblaw Companies Ltd.
  • Work closely with business unit leaders to ensure cohesive storytelling in executive communications
  • Lead primary and secondary research; support thought leadership initiatives
Strategic Planning and Implementation
  • Support the development and implementation of a target operating model to drive operational efficiency
  • Liaise with Operations, Merchandising, and Function groups to manage and execute cross-platform initiatives
  • Work closely with various departments to assess existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Represent CEO Office in external events, including government relations and community outreach initiatives
  • Lead and support strategic initiatives and special projects as determined by the Chief of Staff
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Advanced expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a track record of effectively identifying and addressing challenges to drive innovative solutions
  • Detail oriented with solid analytical skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into clear, articulate analyses and/or presentations
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives end to end
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners in a global environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including experience managing multiple information requests, stakeholders, and data consolidation on a tight timeline
  • Energetic, self-motivated and an ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities for multiple teams and across different time zones
  • Knowledge of Chinese language an asset
