Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Business Advisor for the Alberta North district to manage select business client relationships and drive growth. The program offers immersive training and opportunities across the bank's business lines, with assignments across multiple northern locations.

Candidates should be results oriented, customer focused, with strong communication and organizational skills, and a business discipline background. A valid driver’s license is required for mobility.

This District opportunity will involve moving within and relocating into the various cities/locations. Your desire to see Northern Alberta is pivotal in your growth! Locations may include the following: Timberlands, Olds, Drayton Valley, Edson, Rocky Mountain House, Hinton, Camrose, Lancaster Centre, Sylvan Lake, Drumheller, Lacome, Red Deer, Beaumont, Leduc, Innisfail, Sprove Grove, Stony Plain and Steller.

The Business Advisor is designed for ambitious, solutions oriented candidates who are ready to accelerate their career while gaining broad experience across our business banking network. Participants complete an immersive training and development journey, building the skills and knowledge required to successfully advise our business clients.
Following the initial training period, successful candidates will be placed into Business Advisor opportunities based on business needs. As part of this program, flexibility and mobility are key, and participants should be comfortable accepting assignments across the abovenamed locations.

Our Advisors are customer-centric and able to connect with people in a relatable way. As an essential member of the Canadian Banking Branch network, the focus is to provide exceptional service throughout the customer’s journey by:

• Manage an assigned portfolio of high value and/or complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and other negotiated goals while meeting Scotiabank's Service Standard
• Creating a strong presence within the local business community by developing relationships with various Centres of Influence
• Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice, enabling them to build successful businesses
• Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer centric environment

What you have…

• You have good organizational skills and are flexible to adapt to a constantly changing environment
• You are a strong relationship builder and communicator; and enjoy meeting people and are proficient at collaborating with others
• You have an education in a business related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner
• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
