Job summary

Pacific Western Transportation is seeking School Bus Drivers to transport students safely to and from school with a schedule that keeps you home on weekends and holidays.

We provide comprehensive training, flexible hours between 6:00 am - 9:00 am and 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm, and competitive pay at $20.27 per hour plus a Northern Living allowance of $8.00 per hour. Join us to make a difference in young learners' lives.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta License (No GDL licenses).
• Driver's Abstract required.
• Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Record Check required.
• Drug and Alcohol Testing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive the school bus, ensuring timely transport of students to and from school and related activities.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure bus safety.
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and promote a safe environment for children.

What We’re Looking For:

While we welcome applications for both full-time routes and casual/substitute positions, here’s what you need:

• Valid Alberta License (No GDL licenses)
• Willingness to undergo a Security Screening including:
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Child Intervention Record Check
• Driver's Abstract
• Drug and Alcohol Testing compliance

Assets That Give You an Edge:

• Valid Class 1 or 2 License
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR ‘C’ Certification

We provide driver training for a Class 2 license with the 'S' Endorsement at our training schools located in Athabasca & Fort McMurray.
