Job summary

A global security leader is seeking an Office Building Security Guard in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role involves ensuring safety at an official building, engaging in visible deterrence, and responding to emergencies. Candidates must have a valid Manitoba Security Guard license, good communication skills, and a customer service orientation. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the security industry is an asset.
  • Must be able to work afternoon shifts.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist site staff and visitors to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Record all events in the Logbook.
  • Respond to incidents for tenants if required.
  • Engage in visible deterrence through presence and adhering to security procedures.
  • Site patrol, locking and unlocking building, investigating and reporting incidents and hazards.
  • Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues.
  • Respond to various emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
  • Take actions during emergency situations as per GardaWorld and USB protocols.
  • Complete daily reports and incident reports.
