Job summary

Kibbi Technologies Inc. is seeking a reliable janitorial and facilities maintenance worker to perform daily cleaning, flooring, windows, and general upkeep of hallways and common areas on site.

This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will operate cleaning equipment, assist with minor repairs, and coordinate with tradespersons as needed, with on-site housing options available.

Qualifications

• Secondary school certificate or equivalent experience.
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
• On-site work in Yukon, Canada.
• WHMIS certificate.
• First Aid certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
• Perform minor repairs on appliances.
• Perform safety and security checks; supervise other workers.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance such as painting and drywall repair.
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and gardens.
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Clear snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
