Job summary

Regulvar, a building automation specialist, seeks a field service technician to operate at client sites across Ontario and Quebec. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve system issues while performing preventive maintenance and commissioning activities on control systems.

Strong technical background, HVAC knowledge, and cross-language communication skills in English and French are essential, along with a valid driver’s license and safety certifications. Travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a college diploma (DEC) in Building Mechanics, Industrial Electronics, Computerized Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls including troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolving system issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance under service contracts.
• Participate in project commissioning activities.
• Program controllers and control systems.
• Configure and integrate network communications.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients.
• Apply building automation and control best practices while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Must have

Your Skills

• Knowledge of text-based programming languages(BASIC, C++, GCL)
• Strong ability to work independently andeffectively organize workload and priorities
• Customer service oriented with a collaborativeapproach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
• Intermediate proficiency in both French andEnglish, spoken and written, with the ability to interact regularly withEnglish-speaking stakeholders, including suppliers, colleagues, and businesspartners
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and write technical notes anddocumentation
• Construction Health and Safety Certification(General Health and Safety on Construction Sites)
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence
