Job summary

Evertz Microsystems is seeking a meticulous Failure Analysis Technician to investigate and analyze failures in broadcast technologies at our Burlington, Ontario office. You will identify root causes and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer return issues.

The role requires a diploma or certification in electronics technology and a minimum of two years in failure analysis. You will repair and refurbish products to meet quality standards while contributing to design

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Electronics Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in failure analysis of electronic products would be an asset.
• Solid understanding of electronic components and circuits.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed failure analysis on Broadcast electronic products.
• Execute test plans and procedures to replicate and diagnose customer return issues
• Repair and refurbish products to ensure they meet quality standards before being returned to customers
• Collaborate with design teams to provide insights for design improvements.
• Prepare comprehensive failure analysis reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders and customers as required
• Assist quality assurance and production teams in implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence of customer return issues
