Job summary

Stantec seeks a Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering Group in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. You will contribute to the design and analysis of bridges, culverts, and related structures, delivering projects from concept through construction.

Ideal candidates bring a P.Eng designation and 5+ years of bridge experience, with knowledge of CSA S6 and NS standards, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver bridge design and analysis projects from start to finish.
• Excellent report writing skills.
• Strong understanding of CSA S6 Highway Bridge Design Code.
• Familiarity with NS Department of Public Works design standards and project delivery is an asset.
• Experience with CSiBridge / SAP2000 / MIDAS Civil / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is an asset.
• Experience with DB or P3 projects is an asset.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork.

We are looking for a talented Bridge Engineer to deliver projects as part of our Transportation Engineering Group in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We are looking for passionate engineers to strengthen our team delivering high-end engineering services to our current and future clients, particularly in the Maritime provinces, but also across Canada.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Experience with CSiBridge / SAP2000 / MIDAS Civil / SFrame / AutoCAD and similar software is an asset

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment

Education and Experience

• P.Eng. designation with Engineers Nova Scotia
• 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably within the Bridge Consulting Engineering industry
• Bridge inspection following OSIM, or equivalent

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
