Your Role as a Bridge Engineer :

Choose your own adventure! Let’s talk about how your skills, experience, goals, and passions can find a home at JLR. As a Bridge Engineer, your role will include :

  • Leading the structural design of bridge projects including bridge replacements, reviewing condition of existing bridges, culverts and retaining walls, and developing rehabilitation plans to extend the service life of critical infrastructure.
  • Continue to grow an emerging market at JLR including leading the development of competitive proposals to secure new assignments, mentoring team members, and contributing to business planning activities.
  • Analyzing and designing structural systems and components using design software, including seismic design criteria and preparation of formal design packages.
  • Working with an established, multidisciplinary, integrated technical team of engineers, technologists, and support staff to carry out studies, develop design documents, and provide services during construction.
  • Travelling between JLR offices and project sites across Ontario to meet the needs of various projects.
