Brand Director – Hair Care

We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and strategic Brand Director to lead one of the dynamic brands in a growing portfolio of hair care products. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with a passion for innovation, consumer insight, and high-quality product development.

What You’ll Do
Brand Building
  • Define and strengthen the brand vision, purpose, and values, ensuring alignment across all touchpoints
  • Lead the development of brand management processes, including competitive analysis, planning, ROI measurement, and governance
  • Champion the brand internally and externally, ensuring consistency in execution and communication
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across Sales, Operations, Creative, Marketing Communications, Product Development, and Finance
Portfolio & Innovation Strategy
  • Leverage consumer, category, and market insights to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion
  • Drive the new product development process, from concept to execution, ensuring consumer insights and unique selling propositions are embedded in every launch
  • Manage packaging, artwork development, and approval processes with Creative and stakeholders
  • Ensure financial viability of launches, establishing pricing strategies and cost targets in collaboration with Operations
  • Track and manage R&D budgets to meet objectives
Communication Strategy
  • Translate the brand voice into compelling storytelling across all marketing activations
  • Develop high-quality brand assets (digital, in-store, e-commerce, social, video, PR) that align with brand strategy
  • Partner with Marketing Communications to deliver integrated 360 campaigns across media, influencer, retailer, and experiential channels
Go-To-Market Strategy
  • Lead the planning and flawless execution of product launches across retail and online channels
  • Partner with Sales to align on pricing, promotions, and account-specific strategies
  • Collaborate with E-commerce teams to drive profitable growth
  • Pitch and execute off-shelf retail display opportunities to maximize visibilityBuild strong partnerships with retailers, distributors, and key stakeholders to expand brand reach
Business Management & Analytics
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of competitors, market trends, and consumer behavior to inform strategy
  • Monitor business performance using Nielsen, POS, and consumer data, providing insights and recommendations
  • Track the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize performance
What You Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in brand management (consumer products)
  • MBA preferred
  • Strong passion for beauty, personal care, or related consumer goods
  • Proven track record of managing product development from concept through commercialization
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of retail and shopper dynamics in North America
  • Budget management expertise
  • Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Previous experience in the beauty industry a strong asset
