Overview

Position Title: Temporary Short-Term (Fixed Term) – French language requirement. Language Skills: Work at CBC / Radio-Canada. Role note: These are part-time on-call positions. Candidates may be included in an on-call talent pool for future assignments.

Please note that the following content outlines key responsibilities and qualifications for a role as a brand ambassador supporting the Marketing & Communications team in Winnipeg, focusing on Radio-Canada brand activations and community events.

Key tasks
  • Support the team in developing and operationalizing outreach activities and partnerships.
  • Assist the senior officer with project planning and execution.
  • Coordinate project logistics.
  • Guide programming and technical teams in developing specials and remotes in connection with outreach activities and partnerships.
  • Take part in off-site activities to promote Radio-Canada primarily to a French-speaking audience: prepare transport and set up equipment on the site.
  • Hand out promotional material.
  • Interact with participants and passers-by, providing information about the Corporation and its programming. A solid command of English is essential to engage with English-speaking attendees during events.
  • Create a memorable experience for Canadians to connect them with the brand.
  • Analyze the results of activities by producing reports and compiling statistics on audience and staff feedback.
  • Create databases and update their content; keep records and archives about programs, outreach experiences and partnerships, including bios and photographic materials.
  • Field inquiries, find requested information and respond to audience and staff comments and feedback.
What you bring

Qualifications: A minimum of two (2) years of related experience that demonstrates excellent communications, interpersonal, organizational and writing skills.

Skills: Energy and enthusiasm; ability to be resourceful, proactive and trustworthy; interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with people of all ages.

Fluently bilingual: French and English. Valid driver’s license in the province. Ability to travel throughout the Manitoba region.

Nice to have: Experience as an audience wrangler; knowledge or education in marketing, communications, sales, theatre, film studies or related duties; knowledge of the media environment and the public broadcaster’s competitive advantages (different mandate from private broadcasters).
