Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is hiring for a Branch Sales Associate to engage with walk-in customers, drive sales, and support daily branch operations in our Prince Albert location.

You will help customers select products, process orders accurately, and assist with loading and showroom duties, while maintaining branch standards. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and about 1+ years in related work. Flexibility to work branch hours and ability to lift up to 25 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1+ years experience in related field preferred.
• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis.
• Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the entire customer experience, including product selection, order entry, picking, and loading vehicle when needed.
• Drive branch sales opportunities and customer loyalty to meet revenue targets.
• Navigate computer systems for customer-facing and warehouse tasks.
• Support showroom and warehouse tasks safely and efficiently for pickup or shipping.
• Perform housekeeping to ensure Grainger standards.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this role ranges between $x-$y, with eligibility for an incentive target of $1,800.00 / % which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Branch Sales Associates provide solutions and easily connect with branch walk-in customers. The Sales Associate objective is to capitalize on sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations by using their guidance, knowledge, computer acumen, and winning attitude. You Will

• Ownership of the entire customer experience. This includes appropriate product selection, accurate order entry and maintenance, accurately and safely picking product, and safely loading customer vehicle as needed.
• Consistently performs actions with branch sales focus to capitalize on sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty to deliver revenue targets
• Learn and easily navigate through various computer systems and applications for customer facing and warehouse activities
• Agility to shift focus seamlessly from assisting customers to other various branch tasks including performing warehouse and showroom related tasks safely for pickup or shipping
• Perform housekeeping duties as needed to ensure branch appearance meets Grainger standards

You Have

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
• 1+ years experience in related field preferred
• Flexibility to work any time within branch hours of operation
• Own your personal development, accept feedback, and be proactive with your leader to support your growth
• Ability to work in a position requiring:
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs unassisted on a regular basis
• Ability to safely learn and operate powered industrial equipment
• Successful and timely completion of initial and ongoing training as required
• Other branch support duties as assigned according to business needs
• The position may require you to attend at our customers’ sites. Some customers may have alcohol and drug screening policies for on-site contractors and vendors. You may be required to submit to such customer screening procedures as and when requested as a condition of being permitted on such sites.
