The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in South Vancouver Marine Gateway is looking for a bilingual (Mandarin/Cantonese) Branch Operations Assistant / Associate to provide superior service along with administrative and operational support to clients and employees.

You will provide quality client service and help deepen relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both clients and the Advisor Team.

What will you do?
  • Help manage incoming communications from clients, advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Provide attentive and accurate service to clients and respond to their needs.
  • Review day‑to‑day execution of private banking deals to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients.
  • Respond to client inquiries in an understanding and time‑efficient manner (account transactions, requests, account documentation, account reporting, etc.).
  • Use superior problem‑resolution skills to provide proactive client service and liaise with various departments to provide smooth and timely solutions.
  • Introduce products and services to high net‑worth clients.
  • Build relationships with internal and external customers through the utilization of appropriate tools or technologies.
  • Effectively manage incoming communications from clients, Advisors and other internal and external partners.
  • Assist the Advisor team in welcoming and onboarding new clients.
  • Become well‑versed in internal controls and industry regulatory requirements, ensuring client files and other necessary documentation are accurate, up‑to‑date and compliant.
  • Follow up on client trades to ensure proper settlement and delivery.
  • Complete administrative tasks to help the Management team: manage office stationery orders, boardroom scheduling, and provide support to the Branch Operations Manager when needed.
  • Complete administrative and operational tasks to support Advisor teams: process incoming and outgoing funds, process account opening and maintenance documentation, etc.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have
  • 2 to 3 years of securities industry experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
  • Strong skills working with business applications/technology, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High quality time‑management and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in providing world‑class client service that is professional, warm, and friendly to our clients.
  • Ability to complete duties independently by seeking out own answers and solutions.
Nice‑to‑have
  • Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures.
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH) and IR or RR Licensed, or willing to complete within 6‑12 months.

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable incentive payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals; market conditions; and business needs.

The expected base salary range for this position is $40,000 – $45,000.

This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment up to 1.0× base salary.
