Qualifications

  • Hours: Continental Rotational - 2000-0800
  • Payrate: $19.00/hour
  • Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Job Responsibilities
  • Remain alert, observant, and professional while standing, walking, or working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Maintain clear communication with security staff, dispatch, clients, and management.
  • Work independently and follow established security procedures and policies.
  • Complete mobile patrols, document incidents, and investigate complaints diligently.
  • Report safety hazards, vehicle deficiencies, and site concerns promptly, taking corrective action when required.
  • Enforce company policies and regulations with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Respond immediately to emergencies and coordinate according to established procedures.
  • Ensure duties comply with all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Job Requirements
  • Ability to work alone and be self-motivated

  • Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
  • Proof of two COVID-19 vaccinations
  • 25 years of age or older

  • Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR-V immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
  • G level driver's licensing, with a clean driver's abstract (3 years)
  • Minimum 1 year of security experience required
  • Experience in Mobile or commercial security will be preferred
  • English fluency (written and oral) required
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
  • Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
  • Attend 6 days of blended (virtual/in-class) pre-employment training at the Kingston Branch office
  • Authorized to legally work in Canada
