Job description

The Branch Manager, Mississauga Branch will report directly to the VP, Business Strategy and is responsible to facilitating growth of our Bank by delivering a strong customer experience and supporting new and existing customers as they secure their futures,build their business and own their homes. The Branch Manager develops and inspires employees to meet customers’ financial needs and build a culture of collaboration and positive workplace.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Manage the Branch to meet the Bank’s business goals and objectives
  • Manage and monitor branch performances and evaluate branch employees
  • Perform business activity in retail banking products/services
  • Assess local branch market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the community, existing and new customers
  • Resolve customer problems and escalat issues appropriately
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bank’s campaigns, products, services, and distribution channels that lead to increase in sales
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the KSC, community, existing and new depository/loan customers
  • Professionally serve existing VIP and business customers
  • Support the sales team plan that has been developed to lead to the achievement of client sales targets
  • Manage the reports that analyze performance against forecasts and sales targets
  • Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
  • Responsible for oversight functions relating to the branch covering Risk, Compliance, Audit and other regulatory
  • Improve team’s efficiency by coaching and recommending improvements to work practices, bank operations and processes related to customer experience
  • Authorize and confirm all daily transactions in branch and managing branch supplies and expense budget
  • Create and foster a cohesive, positive work environment
  • Provide vision and leadership for business initiatives to support the increase of deposits and loans, including the development of objectives, plans, policies and programs
  • Drive compliance culture through the effective application of policies and procedures for the Bank
  • Additional duties as deemed necessary

>10 years

  • Proven leadership capabilities including effective interpersonal skills. Must possess the ability to work collaboratively. Willingness to accept responsibility and possess the ability to motivate and influence the activities of others
