Job summary

As Branch Manager at United Rentals, you will lead a major business enterprise, hiring and motivating a team across sales, service, maintenance, and drivers. You will ensure enthusiastic customer service, build profitable operations with strong management skills, ambition, and competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

• Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability
• Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives
• Prepare reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets, and other operational status reports
• Manage personnel matters
• Oversee all safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• Minimum 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other profit center
• Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation
• Strong sales and customer service experience required; outside sales experience preferred
• Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
• Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
