Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Join our team to work on innovative energy-efficient HVAC systems with over 100 customizable configurations. Our units are installed in a variety of commercial spaces, including office buildings, schools, government facilities, and healthcare buildings.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the brake press machine throughout the shift.
  • Read and interpret CAD drawings accurately.
  • Access and retrieve drawings when necessary.
  • Report any safety hazards, quality concerns, or production issues promptly.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by offering suggestions.
Essential Skills
  • 1-3 years of experience as a brake press operator.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong English communication skills in writing, understanding, and speaking.
  • Physical fitness to stand, stretch, bend, lift, and crouch.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience as a brake press operator is nice to have.
  • Experience in environments implementing 5S, Lean manufacturing, or Kaizen.
  • Ability to work independently on the machine.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • First aid certification.

Work Environment
  • Our facility is an industrial but clean environment with the sound of machines operating. It maintains a comfortable room temperature, and the lunch/break room is air‑conditioned.
  • The production team consists of approximately 50 members, with the night shift comprising a smaller team of 5‑6 individuals.
  • We provide all necessary PPE, except for steel‑toed boots, which you will need to bring.
  • Shifts are Monday to Friday, with options for AM, PM, and GY shifts.
  • Breaks include two 15‑minute and one 30‑minute intervals.
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, BC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Vancouver, BC.
