About Us

FB Education Services is an early childhood services operator accredited by Alberta Education. Our program provides early intervention solutions to eligible children across Calgary and Strathmore. As a leading childcare service, we are committed to supporting children's brain development with a team of certificated teachers and professionals.

The Opportunity

Join as a Brain Development Technician, collaborating with therapists, educators, and parents to implement programs for children receiving Program Unit Funding and Mild Moderate funding. Assist and support children in therapeutic and educational activities for their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Position Terms: The position would begin as soon as possible and end June 26th, 2026 with potential to pick up a full time 10 month contract for the following academic year.

Location

Location: Multiple locations - West 85th and McKnight locations

Responsibilities
  • Implement personalized intervention plans for children receiving PUF and M/M funding.
  • Provide hands-on support during child’s day at daycare/preschool.
  • Monitor and document children's progress.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate to adapt materials to each child's needs.
  • Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers.
  • Attend team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • One year of experience and/or education in child development and behavior.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles, intervention strategies, and evidence-based practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering rapport with children, parents, and team members.
  • Flexibility to work in various environments.
  • Possession of a valid Alberta driver's license and access to a personal vehicle, with willingness to commute between different Fueling Brain Academies centers (mileage reimbursed).
  • Current police clearance (from the last 6 months) and updated Child Intervention Record Check required.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification preferred.

Salary

Salary: $19-22 per hour

The position involves occasional walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting/carrying work-related items weighing less than 40 pounds, such as books, papers, and presentation materials. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts that require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. There may be prolonged or irregular working hours, and the ability to maintain emotional control under stress is important.

This position may require the employee to work some evenings and weekends. Work may include exposure to noisy and/or disruptive student behavior, as well as potential exposure to bodily fluids and frequent childhood illnesses.
