Responsibilities

• Sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
• Perform other labouring and fundamental tasks.
• Clean machines and surrounding work areas.
• Check and weigh materials and products.
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment manually or with powered equipment.
• Ensure items are undamaged and properly labeled.
• Seal and label shipping containers.
• Inspect shipping containers for compliance with shipping regulations.
• Assemble daily orders by shipment location or shipping category.
• Keep track of packages, delivery notes, invoicing, etc.
• Fill packing and shipping forms with appropriate information.
• Adhere to packaging policies and procedures.

• Maintain product order quality, safety, production standards, and equipment operation.

• Work as part of a team to pack products by building boxes, handling cases off lines, taping, and palletizing.
• Pack customer orders quickly and accurately, ensuring correct items and quantities.
• Choose appropriately sized boxes or envelopes to prevent damage during delivery.
• Wrap fragile items securely and follow proper packing procedures.

• The candidate will be expected to work as part of a team to pack product by constructing boxes, pulling sealed cases off automated packaging lines, taping boxes and placing on skids, or filling kegs and fitting lids on containers.
• The candidate will be expected to pack customer orders quickly and accurately, ensuring that the correct number and merchandise are loaded and sent.
• The candidate must choose appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment to avoid bending, crushing, or shifting of items during delivery. To ensure quality, all orders are neatly and correctly packed in a box. This entails properly wrapping glass items in bubble wrap, placing small items in a bag, placing all liquids in a bag, and packing the standing upright. Adheres to proper packing procedures.
