Job summary

Kent Building Supplies Inc. is seeking a Boom Truck Driver to deliver building materials to homes and job sites with a focus on safety and customer service.

You will operate a Boom, load and unload materials, and keep trucks ready for loading while coordinating with dispatch. The role requires a valid Class 3 license with air brakes, ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to work up to 12-hour shifts in varying start times.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 license with air brake endorsement (manual transmission required).
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Drivers Abstract required.
• Capable of working in all weather conditions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Able to work up to 12-hour shifts with varying start times.
• Self-motivated, punctual and reliable with a safety mindset.
• High attention to detail and ability to do physical work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to private homes and construction sites safely, including windows, doors, cement, shingles, and other building materials.
• Operate Boom crane and load/unload product.
• Prepare trucks for loading and ensure proper vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues; verify load security and accuracy.
• Report defects, violations, accidents, or injuries; maintain professional behavior.

As a Boom Truck Driver, you will be part of the team that provides delivery services for our customers displaying the highest standards of safety and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for monitoring truck maintenance and keeping driver’s records requirements such as daily check list. This job can be physically demanding.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to private homes and construction sites safely - Materials include Windows and doors, Cement, Shingles, and other building materials.
• Operate Boom
• Load and unload product
• Prepare trucks for loading
• Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and safety
• Maintain contact with dispatch and work to resolve any issues
• Verify load security and accuracy
• Report defects, violations, accidents, or injuries
• Maintain a professional behavior
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures
