Job summary

A regional contracting firm is seeking an experienced accountant to handle payroll, maintain financial records, and prepare tax returns. The ideal candidate will have a relevant diploma and experience in bookkeeping. This permanent role requires dedication, with working hours ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week. Strong knowledge of accounting software, including Quick Books and Excel, is essential.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting.
  • Proficient in bookkeeping and maintaining financial records.
  • Able to prepare and reconcile accounts accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Prepare tax returns and statistical financial reports.
