The successful candidate will handle invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintain financial records using Sage 50. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year experience in an accounting/bookkeeping role or equivalent schooling.
  • Proficient in Sage Accounting Software (required).
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
  • Proficient with MS Office and general business software.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle AP/AR.
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations.
  • Invoice clients for services and reimbursable items.
  • Assist with billing and collections as needed.
  • Help prepare reports including financial reports, project management and job costing.
  • Complete government reports and remittances including GST.
  • File company annual reports and prepare required resolutions as necessary.
  • Maintain an electronic filing system for each company.
  • Assist with the end of year process providing all necessary documentation to the company auditor.
  • Administration of maintenance department (building management).
  • Review of general contracts and leasing documents.
  • Maintain rent rolls and review triple net costing and reconciliation.
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

The Krahn Group is looking for a part-time Bookkeeper to join their team in Abbotsford, BC.

Reporting to the President & CEO, this role will use Sage 50 to carry out invoicing, AR, AP, and recording all financial transactions for multiple groups of small companies. You will also be responsible for all administrative functions and assist in preparing documents and reports for various projects and other activities. The position focuses on working with the Controller and assisting the President & CEO, covering all bookkeeping and administrative aspects of several small companies, including US company bookkeeping.
